Artwork description:

"The Grand" on Quarry Road now operates as a bingo hall and is a very popular venue. The design I have chosen shows The Grand back in 1980 when as well as operating as a cinema, as it had done since opening in 1949, it was also a concert venue. My design depicts a window in time when legendary punk band Ramones played Cabra and the side panels announce the coming shows of both Duran Duran and Siouxsie and The Banshees.

Biography:

I am a full time factory foreman in the food industry and enjoy painting as a hobby. I have done some pieces for Dublin Canvas and other local initiatives and organisations and really enjoy the experiences and people's reactions to the finished works.
