Artwork description:

The artwork features two magpies sitting on a cherry blossom tree, surrounded by dainty pink flowers and a bright blue sky. As a local girl, the artist knows the people of Knocklyon and Templegoue are used to seeing plenty of these as they are both abundant in the area however she hopes that in presenting them in a bright, beautiful and contemporary way, this piece will give the local residents a moment to pause and appreciate the beauty of where we live and how lucky we are to have as much wildlife as we do. In short, she hopes it brings them a small moment of joy as they go about their busy day.

Biography:

I’m a Dublin born Artist, Designer and Illustrator currently working freelance while selling my artworks at markets across Dublin. My illustration style is typically traditional imagery but through a contemporary style with lots of bright lours and swooping black line work. I have previously completed six Dublin canvas boxes from 2019-2022 and would love to be involved again this year if possible.
