'Four Faced Liar'
Belgrave Square/MountPleasant Avenue Upper, Dublin 6
2022
Dublin City Council
The piece depicts Rathmines Clock Tower, an important historical landmark in the community. Besides it reads ‘The “Four faced liar”’, a nickname it gained before the clock was run with electricity when each of the four faces of the clock showed a different time.
The box will be painted by myself (Róisín) and my sister Sadhbh. I am a Biomed student. I enjoy acrylic painting, and graphic and set design. I have recently been commissioned to paint two Dublin murals. In 2020 I received second prize in the Texaco Children’s Art Competition. Sadhbh is a sixth-year student who particularly enjoys painting in gauche and acrylic, and has a talent for capturing the iconic red brick buildings of Dublin which she is frequently commissioned for. Together we will create a mural that captures the vibrant atmosphere of Rathmines.
