The Irish rugby team has been performing wonders for years (nearly 150 years), regularly beating countries many times its size and always staying in the top tier of rugby-playing nations. Lansdowne Road hosted its first international rugby fixture, against England on 11 March 1878, making it the world’s oldest rugby union International Test venue.
I am professional graphic designer and illustrator, resident in Dún Laoghaire. I graduated from NCAD in 1988 and have worked in New York and Dublin for 30 years. I often work on subjects with a historical or cultural angle. In 2020, I
completed a traffic box on Dun Laoghaire’s Marine Road entitled ‘Pier Building’ (right).
