I have included birds in many of my previous designs so I decided to try a different style and color palette. I haven't done many faces in my public art so far but I think her face looking out at passers-by through many bird wings would be striking and eye-catching. The topic of Black Lives Matter has been on my mind lately and I wanted to push for more diversity and different ethnicities to be depicted in the art which inspired me to make this piece.
An artist currently studying model-making in IADT. I am also developing my skills in painting, illustration and graphic design. I have worked on multiple projects for Dublin Canvas; two boxes (The Birds and Celtic Goddesses) and the mural in Avondale House. I love creating colourful, thoughtful pieces and interacting with the public while I paint.
