With everything going on in and around our lives, for a fleeting moment I wished I could drift into outer space and give the world a great, big, reassuring hug - It helped. I painted this piece during covid, representing a reminder to be kind and gentle with everyone around us as we never know what battles they face in their daily lives.

Biography:

Janan is an early years teacher by day and a freelance illustrator by night. A serendipitous switch in career from finance to education changed her narrative, which led her to illustrating children’s books. Her art style is inspired by moments from her life as a teacher, her love for small joys, textures, patterns and an eye for detail. This has been a guiding light in envisioning meaningful artwork
