These Teléfon boxes once littered the streets of Ireland. At their peak, there were over 3000 boxes but now only 100 remain. Unfortunately, this historic landmark is in danger of disappearing completely; it was recently announced that 90 of the remaining 100 boxes will beremoved in the coming months. This is my attempt to preserve a little piece of history.
I was born and raised in Dublin, and I've lived in Lucan my entire life. Recently, I graduated with a degree in Electronic and Computer Engineering, but I have always had a passion for painting. Last year, I collaborated with my mother, Maureen Kelly-Fox on the 'Fairy Bells' box in Charlestown. It was a great experience, and it prompted me to create some designs of my own.
