'Heart of Raheny'

The location of the artwork is right in the heart of Raheny Village. The local primary schools, GAA and soccer clubs are just around the corner, so this is a busy walkway full of children going about their day. The woodland characters represent our wildlife neighbours in St. Anne’s Park. They are wearing the distinctive uniforms of the local schools and clubs, showing that they are part of the neighbourhood too. As this box is a at a busy traffic junction it is hoped that the artwork will also serve a gentle reminder to motorists that a school crossing is just around the corner.
I am a designer-illustrator and love creating art for children (& their grown ups!).
