Artwork description:

Olympic Gold Medalist Ronnie Delany has ties to the Kilternan/Glenamuck area. He used to attend mass in Our Lady of the Wayside Church, and has only recently been named as an Age-Friendly Ambassador for DLRCC. My mural aims to honour him by showing his iconic moment of winning the 1500m gold medal in the Melbourne Olympics in 1956. It will hopefully encourage younger people who may not be aware of his achievements to learn more about them.

Biography:

I am an Art Director/Graphic Designer/Illustrator currently working in the advertising industry. I qualified with a Bachelors Degree in Visual Communication from the National College of Art and Design in 2007.
