Artwork description:

The council have planted hundreds, if not thousands of daffodils, tulips and hyacinths on Kylemore Road. It’s such a beautiful riot of colour in the spring that you feel the loss of the blooms when they’re gone. I want this signal box to become a part of the explosion of flowers in the spring and a lasting splash of colour when the natural flowers have died. Then in the winter it’s the promise of the new year to come.

Biography:

I’m an Irish artist living and working in Ballyfermot.I have a Degree in Fine Art and a hDip in Community Arts Education. I worked as a Community Arts Facilitator for over a decade but since 2017 I am working for myself taking art commissions. I have been very lucky to paint a number of boxes for Dublin Canvas in the past. I absolutely loved it and would be over the moon to paint another one.
