Artwork description:

My inspiration for this box was an illustration that my grandmother Jó created in 2019. I came across it recently and I knew I wanted to incorporate it into my art somehow. This sketch is so unlike any of her other painted works, which makes it that bit more special. She lived in this area for many years before she passed in April 2021, so it’s a perfect spot.

Biography:

Aj Higgins is a Dublin based artist who studied fine art in TU Dublin. She creates primarily digital art and does freelance photography, illustration and graphic design work, in her spare time.
